(IELTS)Language Requirements for SINP

01-02-2021

The Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program or SINP has long been known for setting a lower benchmark for language requirement than the Federal Express Entry program.

The SINP IELTS requirement is just like the other PNP language requirements. Though, SINP language requirements are job-based. Meaning? Different types of jobs available in Saskatchewan will have different English language requirements. Obviously, Saskatchewan immigration authorities want people who have enough understanding of the English language to effectively be able to work in the local industries.

Let's be clear with the help of an example- A management professional applying for the Saskatchewan Immigration program (SINP) will require a higher language ability score because the demand for management professionals in the province is currently high as opposed to others not in-demand or less in-demand occupations. Say, as a Health practitioner you require more of technical knowledge and a basic understanding of English language to be able to communicate clearly with patients and colleagues, in such a case the language proficiency score required might be less.

Below are some frequent questions asked by the potential applicants while considering for Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)

Is the IELTS basic language requirement needed for applying SINP?

Yes, IELTS is a basic language requirement you need to meet in order to be eligible for SINP. However, even with a low IELTS score, you can possibly apply for SINP and come one step closer to your Canadian Permanent Residency.

Is applying for SINP with low IELTS bands even possible?

YES, definitely!! Saskatchewan is the only province that invites candidates with low IELTS bands. So, if you by any chance got not desirable IELTS bands, fret not! SINP is still a window of your dreams. You are very much eligible for SINP programs. Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee program considers applicants (skilled workers) even with low IELTS bands.

With low language ability requirements, getting minimum language bands is not an issue and thus, quite easy for immigrants planning to apply for SINP and make way for Canada PR.

What are the basic SINP language requirements 2021?

First of all, it is important to know that the SINP language requirements are different for different job occupations available in the labour market of Saskatchewan as clearly explained above.

Following is the minimum language requirement for SINP that you need for applying under this program:

1. SINP- Occupation in-demand category

The applicant under this category must have their occupation listed on the SINP in-demand occupation list. Along with this, you must have the required skills, experience, and eligibility requirements.

The minimum required CLB for SINP under this category is CLB 5 or IELTS R-4, L-5, S-5 and W-5.5

2. SINP-Express Entry category

For the SINP candidates applying through Express Entry stream, the minimum language ability is CLB 7 or IELTS 6 bands each in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

About SINP

Saskatchewan is a well-known province of Canada and is also considered as a prime destination for the international immigrants who are planning to settle in Saskatchewan through SINP or express entry programs. The province-wide economy, multicultural community, health and educational benefits are few of the many reasons for it being a preferred choice. Recently, thanks to a significant rise in economic activity in the province and all over Canada, the IRCC has announced that it is going to invite as many as a million people in the coming years. Out of these, a sizable number of people will also be invited into Saskatchewan through the Express Entry and Saskatchewan PNP systems respectively.

What is the Points System of Saskatchewan?

Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program is a path for skilled and qualified workers who are selected by the Saskatchewan government for permanent residency. In order to be eligible, you need to score 60 points on the assessment grid. The points are calculated for age, education, work experience, language ability, and family relations in Saskatchewan.

Language is one of the few requirements you need to fulfil so as to be able to apply for the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). Though, one of the biggest challenges for Indians, when thinking of applying for Canada immigration in 2021, is the English ability requirements. While the language requirements for other provinces in Canada might be high but for Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) it is relatively low. That’s why Saskatchewan province is popular among international migrants and specifically Indians because clearing the benchmark is comparably easy.
