  • International Skilled Worker Category
  • Saskatchewan Experience Category

This category of SINP is most popular as most of the applicants falls under this particular category. Saskatchewan acknowledges applications who are gifted, skilled or a specialist in a field in demand in the province. So those who intend to work in the province of Saskatchewan, can apply through this stream. This category uses a point-based framework to allot points to candidates on the basis of skills and education such as work experience, English capabilities, qualifications and also age.

The following are the sub-categories:

Through this visa, students willing to be entrepreneurs can settle down in the province permanently.

Every other month, SINP acknowledges many candidates under each of the above mentioned classification. This means that this is the right time to start your process for SINP.

THINGS TO REMEMBER BEFORE APPLYING

The first and foremost step is to make sure that the applicant must have all the necessary documentation in order. In case, the applicant fails to produce the relevant documentation will get rejected at the beginning itself. Once, an applicant faces rejection in the first place, he/she doesn’t get a second chance for it. Thus, the applicant then has to re-apply by starting from the very basic.

  • In case, the applicant is a permanent resident or a citizen of an English/French speaking country, he/she is not required to produce the test result for language speaking. But the applicant wouldn’t be awarded any points in their final assessment.
  • In case, the applicant belongs to an English/French-speaking country and his/her occupation comes under the scope of National Occupational Classification (NOC) ‘C’, then the applicant is required to produce a legit test result of language.
  • In case, the applicant doesn’t belong to any English/French-speaking nation, he/she simply has to submit a test result of language.

As we talk about the very next step, make sure that you have completed all your documentation as well as prepared all kinds of forms that are a must. Please note that the applicant can only have a single application (active) with the SINP at a single time.

WHAT TO DO NEXT?
  • The primary step that the applicant has to take is called Pre-screening. As the name suggests, it is a formal checking of the application along with the assessment of your documentation. The applicant would be given a green signal for the next step once the authorities find your documentation complete and legit.
  • If the application gets rejected, the applicant will receive a mail from the authorities in which the reason and grounds of rejection will be clearly stated. The applicant has to reapply for the same from the beginning as the ongoing application would be nullified.
CRITERIA ASSESSMENT AND RECOMMENDATION
  • Once the applicant will be given a nod for going ahead, the next step is called Assessment. This is different from the pre-screening step as in the process of Assessment, the complete application is thoroughly checked to determine your eligibility for the scheme/criteria under which you’ve applied.
  • In case the authorities need any kind of additional documents, apart from the ones already submitted, then the applicant would receive an email stating the details of the required documents to be submitted. The applicant would be granted 10 days to make the submission. Make sure, that the applicant would be asked to submit additional documents only if the authorities (SINP) couldn’t verify your eligibility. In this case, the SINP can simply reject the application.
  • Once the applicant submits the application, it simply means that the SINP can verify the information that is provided to them.
UNQUALIFIED APPLICATION

In case the SINP rejects the application, then the authorities would send a letter via email stating your rejection. This letter can be sent to your representatives as well.

Following are the grounds on which your application may get rejected:

  1. The applicant is ineligible for eligibility of the program;
  2. If the applicant doesn’t submit the documents that were asked (by SINP) within a given timer period;
  3. If the submitted application fails to get verified;
  4. If the applicant fails to convince that your purpose of living/working in Saskatchewan is legit and right.

In case the application gets a status of ineligibility and the applicant likes to go for the reapplication, please remember the following points:

  1. The applicant must apply for the SINP once he/she is educated about the grounds of rejection in the first place;
  2. In case the application gets rejected by the IRCC or SINP, the applicant cannot go for reapplication until the suspension is revoked by the SINP;
  3. The application that has been resubmitted, will have to go via the same channel and undergoing a similar process as before;
  4. The applicants whose application has been rejected by the SINP can apply to the IRCC under the class of federal immigration (only when they meet its eligibility criteria).
